The big 2

I can't believe that my baby is 2 years old. Time really does fly once you start having kids. Brian and I are so happy that Davis is apart of our family. He makes us laugh everyday and always puts a smile on our face when we're in a bad mood. He loves to be outside and go on walks, slide down the slide, throw the ball with dad, eat nacks (snacks) and play with his cars while watching the movie Cars. He really is all boy and it is a lot of fun. Life would be so boring without you buddy! We love you so much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Notice his pink shoes. My friend Krista had a little rocking horse that had these little pink shoes on all four legs. She had her husband take them off of the horse because they were kinda ugly. We thought it would be funny to put them on Davis and see what Brian thought of them. Davis actually loved them so much. I had to throw them away or he would have wanted to wear them all the time.

My sweet husband

Last Friday when I came back from Utah Brian had this on the table for me. How cute and thoughtful huh? The sad part of it all was that I had the book already. He asked me on the phone a few days before if I had gotten any presents while I was there and I told him that I hadn't. He was all excited on the phone to get me something. I didn't even think about the book because my mom bought a couple of them and then told me just to take one home. I felt so bad because it was such a perfect gift and it really went well together. Thanks Brian for doing something so cute for me, I loved it so much even though I already had it. You're the best!

Fun Times

Last weekend Brian really wanted to go to a Chicago Cubs game but the tickets were too much money so we decided to go to a Cleveland Indians game instead. We went up with our friends Dave and Stephanie and stayed in a hotel. It was pretty fun just to go and see a game even though I really didn't watch much. Davis was actually pretty good. I only took him for 2 little walks.

During the middle of this week we were able to go camping with some other friends, the Baldwins and the Richards. We went to a place not far from our house called Alum Creek Lake. There were many campsites around and a fun beach they made where we were able to go swim. We had a great time Amanda, thanks for inviting us.
Here are a bunch of pics from the past week.

Playing at the beach on our way home from camping

Brian didn't bring his swim suit so he had a lot of fun building a sandcastle and covering Davis with Sand.

Davis and Braxton had a great time playing in the dirt. They were filthy the whole time but they had fun.

The campsite.

Right before we left Brian took the trash to the dumpster and this is what he saw.

Kevin decided to get a long stick and put it in there so it could crawl out. I bet it was so happy to finally get out of the garbage.

Grandparents Visit

We had a lot of fun having our parent's come out and visit and help with Davis and Brian after his surgery. We were able to go on some little vacations, eat out a lot, and watch lots of movies. We went to Hocking Hills State park, Kirtland, to an Amish community, and to Lexington Kentucky. Thanks Moms and Dads for all that you did for us and do for us. We couldn't ask for better parents. We love you!

They were so beautiful.

Davis finally fell asleep at the Kentucky horse park.

We asked them if they had wheel chairs
and they offered the motorized wheel chair. (Awesome) Brian had
so much fun riding around.

Surgery update

Well Brian is doing pretty good. He kinda had a bad morning right before surgery. We got there at 7:20 and the receptionist forgot about him after he registered. Brian thought that he was going to have to reschedule his surgery. The nurse that was putting the IV in tried 7 times and collapsed his veins. Finally the anesthesiologist came over and had to put it in his wrist. Then during surgery he woke up and felt a lot of pain so they had to give him a nerve block in his leg. When my dad and I finally got to go in and see him he said that it was the worst experience he has had. He did have a pretty good night his first night home though. He feels better than he expected so that is great!

I've been so lazy

Well I know that I have not posted for a very long time. I don't know why, I just have been lazy I guess. My parents came out last Wednesday and we went back to Hocking Hills and went up to Kirtland which was so beautiful. We've had a lot of fun with them and now Brian is having his surgery. Tomorrow morning we have to been at the hospital at around 7 am. I think that we are both a little nervous but I know everything will be OK.
